Item Details

Beth and Jennifer know their company monitors their office e-mail, but they still spend all day sending each other messages, gossiping about their coworkers at the newspaper and baring their personal lives like an open book. When Lincoln applied to be an Internet security officer, he hardly imagined he'd be sifting through other people's inboxes like some sort of electronic Peeping Tom. Lincoln is supposed to turn people in for misusing company e-mail, but he can't bring himself to crack down on Beth and Jennifer. He can't help but be entertained and captivated by their stories. But by the time Lincoln realizes he's falling for Beth, it's way too late for him to ever introduce himself. After a series of close encounters and missed connections, Lincoln decides it's time to muster the courage to follow his heart, even if he can't see exactly where it's leading him.

The perfect beach read! This is one of the first books written by the author of "Eleanor & Park" and "Fangirl". Socially awkward Lincoln is hired to read all flagged staff emails at a large company. While reading the email correspondence of coworkers Beth and Jennifer, he finds himself getting engrossed in their stories and falling in love with Beth. This is an excellent light and frothy read.

really loved this one. sweet story, and a refreshing twist with the idea of him being the "invisible internet security person." i loved this book. i love rainbow rowell, read eleanor & park and fangirl if you haven't already!

If you are in your early forties, this is the romantic comedy for you. All the book/music references will make sense if you are into Dungeons & Dragons and science fiction movies.

Pretty delightful with just enough meat to make it more than fluff.

A lovely and sweet cyber romance containing all of the sarcastic wit we now expect from Rowell who wrote the wonderful "Eleanor and Park". If you like Jane Green's "Jemima J" you are sure to LOVE this!

I loved this book. It was a little cheesy, but I couldn't put it down. You get so attached to the characters that you cheer when they succeed and cry when something goes wrong.

I love Rainbow Rowell's books.

A sweet, light novel with a slow-building romance and quirky characters. Attachments is set in 1999 around the Y2K crisis, and creates a sense of nostalgia for the age of unsophisticated computers and fully-paid newspaper journalism. Author Rainbow Rowell has recently gained attention for her YA hit, Eleanor and Park, and this book features her offbeat sense of humor and shy main characters.

One of my favorites of the year! Charming, witty, and highly original... a romantic comedy that doesn't forget family and friendships and other important "attachments" in our lives.
