Events › "Old MacDonald Had A Farm" Book-To-Life Party

Enjoy spring break by joining Saddlebrook Branch in bringing "Old Macdonald Had A Farm" to life!  Activities will include decorating a planting pot, a snack station, build-a-barn with LEGOs, ‘tractor’ racing, photo opportunities including an American Gothic photo and posing with an authentic John Deere push-pedal tractor, and a reading station where families can vote for their favorite version of the book.

Community groups joining us for this event include:

• Country Bumpkins 4-H Club through Douglas Sarpy County 4-H will be here with a farm animal petting zoo.
• Master Gardeners will be here to help people plant their own seeds and answer questions about gardening.
• Nebraska Extension in Douglas-Sarpy Counties will be here with blender bikes, edible soil, and fake stomachs.
• Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation will be here with a craft and an interactive banner learning about corn.
• Nebraska Humane Society will be here with a therapy dog.

This event is family-friendly and no registration is required.
