Over ten percent of the US population fought in the Civil War in the 1860s. Using (mostly) free resources, Brian Rhinehart will provide tips on how to determine if your ancestor was involved in the war, and how to differentiate among those commonly named soldiers.
About the Speaker
Brian Rhinehart is a professional genealogist and speaker, owner of Civilwarrecords.com. He has spent countless hours in the National Archives in Washington, D.C., retrieving and working with military records, and is a researcher for the PBS television series "Finding Your Roots." His own ancestors have been involved in every major war in America's history.
