Join OPL for the FOPL Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at the Millard Public Library from 1-3 pm to hear Gretchen discuss her book “Detour Nebraska.”

Gretchen Garrison, an avid reader and Nebraska enthusiast, started a blog in 2013 to share the untold stories of her home state in anticipation of teaching this as her main topic for the school year. Gretchen's upcoming Nebraska travels became more purposeful with the intention of learning more to share the stories with others.

Her blog, now a valuable resource, has evolved into her first book, “Detour Nebraska,” which explores both well-known and lesser-known places in the state. This book travels across the state capturing the stories of the unfamiliar Nebraska locations.
