Events › 24th Annual Teen Poetry Bash

Contestants and attendees must pre-register on Eventbrite. Registration for contestants ends 24 hours before the event start time, and for attendees two hours before start time. 

Contestants must prepare two original poems to perform as slam poetry or read aloud. Each entrant will perform one original poem. Top scoring entrants will pass the first round to perform a second poem and be eligible for the cash grand prizes. All Writes Reserved coaches from Nebraska Writers Collective will serve as the judges and emcees. Contestants must be in grades 8-12 and a resident of Douglas County, Nebraska, or its surrounding metro area. 

• 1st place: $150
• 2nd place: $100
• 3rd place: $75
• Audience Favorite: $50
