Create Your Own Vintage Postcards: A Holiday Workshop

2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Genealogy & Local History Room

Description

Postcards have long been a charming way to send a simple message and brighten someone's day. This holiday season, what better way to share your greetings than with postcards that showcase your creativity and personal history?

Join artist Amelia Broussard for an in-person workshop where you'll craft one-of-a-kind postcards using vintage images, family history ephemera, or any personal touch you desire. Whether you're inspired by family photos, old documents, or magazine clippings, this is the perfect opportunity to blend creativity with nostalgia.

All materials will be supplied, but bring your ideas, creativity, and copies of any photos or other illustrations you'd like to include. A copy machine, scanner, and printer will be available to help bring your designs to life!

About the Presenter

Amelia Broussard, a Louisiana native now based in Omaha, creates mixed media collages inspired by her childhood explorations of the bayous. Using recycled materials, she captures the essence of these memories, exploring their unreliability while also finding joy and appreciation in the beauty of ordinary, everyday life.
