Incredible Edible Landfill

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Bess Johnson Elkhorn Branch

Description

Have you ever wondered what happens once you throw something into the trash can? How important is recycling? Join us as we explore these issues in a fun (and tasty) way! Participants will use pudding, candy, cookies, cereal, and other tasty treats to create an edible landfill.

This program contains allergens such as wheat, milk, eggs, soy and tree nuts. However, the treat can be made without all the ingredients for children that still want to participate.

This is a free event for children ages 7-12. Registration is required and opens April 15.

Parents/caregivers must remain with their child(ren) for the duration of the program.

All Omaha Public Library locations are wheelchair accessible. Need sign language interpretation or other accessibility assistance for this event? Please email Nancy Novotny at NNovotny@omahalibrary.org to request accommodation. Requests must be made at least five business days before the activity or event.
