Tracking your Irish forebears may not be as impossible as you think! This talk starts with an examination of a couple of scanty records long owned by two different families. One was a Bible entry providing a place name and surname. The other was a simple handwritten list of the names of an ancestral couple and their children and sons- and daughters-in-law, with no dates and no place names. Genealogist Kevin Cassidy shows how he leveraged these minimal clues to identify the townland of origin and learn about the family’s Irish story--and how you can use the same techniques to solve difficult research problems.
