Get ready to unleash your creativity in this action-packed, game-based writing workshop led by Nebraska Writers Collective Teaching Artist and Author, Shelly Nosbisch! Through fun, interactive games like Literary Jenga, Writing Roulette, and Finish the Story, you’ll explore the art of storytelling while discovering your unique writing voice. Each game is designed to spark your imagination, improve your skills, and show you just how fun writing can be.

This workshop is writers who love to dream big, think outside the box, and have fun while learning. You’ll leave with exciting new ideas and maybe even the start of your next masterpiece. No matter your experience level, this class will help you grow your storytelling superpowers—and have a blast while doing it. Game on!

This is a free program for ages 8-13. Registration is required.

Shelly Nosbisch is a local cozy mystery author. Shelly is living her best life when she’s teaching writing as well. She is a teaching artist with Nebraska Writers Collective, teaching spoken word poetry, micro fiction, and novel writing. She adores coaching teens in All Writes Reserved, a spoken word poetry festival. A voracious reader, Shelly can often be found lurking in the stacks at the local library so she can afford her reading habit.
