"Whoever dies first haunts the school" 2 teachers who love teaching face reality that they will have to create a "viral" scandal to get funding and kids respect as most high school kids hate school. Great for action fighting movie lovers and thug humor.
Fist fight is a funny movie. It is about when a teacher accidently helps fire the other teacher and when he gets mad, there is beef. My favourite part about this movie was when the teacher tells the other teacher that he got his job back and he gets even more mad and it is so funny because he tried to fix the situation but ended up making it worse. The thing that I would change about this movie is that they should’ve just settled and solve things out but then I think that they had to make things funny. I rate this movie 3.5 out of 5. @movieslayer123 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
This comedic movie is ridiculous in so many ways that I don’t know where to start. Starring Ice Cube and Charlie Day, the movie is about a highschool teacher who is already dealing with enough from school leading to summer vacation. But, after the most feared teacher gets fired and challenges him to a fight after school, things go from bad to worse. This movie definitely had a lot of cheap jokes and awkward moments at the expense of the characters in order to entertain the audience, but there was no true storyline to follow. Although entertaining, I would rate this film 2/5 stars. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
Let your brain go into neutral and let this movie punch the laughter out of you. It isn't intelligent or witty just great physical and juvenile humour. If you don't take life too seriously it is a silly little bit of entertainment when you need to laugh. Ice Cube steals the movie whenever he shows up playing an ultra serious history teacher who wants to use a fist fight to inspire change. The premise is absurd, but that is what makes the whole movie hilarious from start to finish. Is it high brow humour? Not at all. Does it have any deep meaning? No again. This movie doesn't try to be anything more than intended: a mindless diversion on a quiet evening.
The movie overall is ok, the first 15-30 minutes is pretty boring, the laughs starts after hat period of time. Ice Cube and Charlie Day delivers a pretty funny performances as they really has the charm to make people laugh. If you just want to have a few laughs over the weekend just for relaxing, this is a ok choice for you, not really suitable for kids watching
Fist Fight was so much better than I expected. It was a hilarious movie, filled with laughter and some moments where you think what in the world?!!! Overall, it was a nice comedy, with brilliant actors. A good movie to watch if you feel like laughing your face off. Definitely not a kids movie however.
There were some pretty funny scenes with Charlie Day playing his usual neurotic but lovable character. Ice Cube always plays a good scary angry bully type, his usual character.
Having seen this randomly at the theater with a free ticket to burn, I can't recommend seeing this if you are expecting 'Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia' or 'Workaholics'-level comedy. I really don't want to give it one star because I like almost every character in it. Charlie Day, Jillian Bell, Tracy Morgan, even Ice Cube. They're each really enjoyable in other shows or movies. And it did offer a few chuckles here and there. It also manages to bring up a good point about modern school funding (or lack thereof). But it's not enough. The movie wasn't good. The comedy felt like an ongoing series of funny memes and gif's that get posted on social media. Being funny as an allusion to a point or complementing a response, but not making much sense on their own. It would be more forgivable if the cast didn't have people that are hilarious in other shows. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't see it again.
Some good funny scenes. Worth a one time entertaining watch. Especially when the coach says he looks like a minion..lol. Definitely got the movie idea from 3 O'clock High which is a classic
Fist Fight brought back memories of those after school fights. This movie was funny. But! Not for kids due to language. Ice Cube can do some good comedy. This is a good funny adult movie.
One of those " I will give it a try and dont expect too much" movies that actually had a few chuckles and a couple Ha-ha moments. Yes its crude ( and if you dont like that kind of street talk then why did you rent this R rated movie???). The main reason it works is due to the two leads who are quite good in their roles and have fun with it.
Tracy Morgan should find a better avenue for his supporting talent, or at least better material because he just wasnt funny at all.
An okay 90 minutes spent that breaks up the monotony of the week.
This was bad. Just bad. Apparently, two actors yelling and screaming at each other is supposed to be funny, repeatedly, almost every scene. Epic fail.
Funny, light hearted comedy that fell flat at times but for the most part was a silly movie.
Clever idea and some hilarious moments. But then there are long, stale moments that don't work at all. It's worth a watch, but I feel like they missed an opportunity to make a great comedy film. Maybe if it were fleshed out more it would have been better. Still, some funny moments and a fist fight that delivers.
