I have LOVED the Thomas Covenant series since the 1980s and have just finished "Against All Things Ending" I can't wait to get my hands on the tenth and final book. I love Donaldson's style and the way he takes me into the Land. I feel like I am there. This was especially true with the Giants of the Search, Pitchwife and Honniscrave WOW!!
It will be sad to have it end but I will probably go back to Lord Foul's Bane" and start all over again! Brilliant.

This last Covenant series was tremendously disappointing. Don't bother reading it if you were a fan of the originals. It will only ruin the whole thing for you.

I have loved the The Land since I read the first book as a teen. This book is interesting as well, but I simply cannot understand the motivations of the characters. I do not understand the "why" of what they are doing. I must assume that I am simply not reading the book carefully enough, but I have had the same problem with several others of the series recently.
