Ties to tradition and memories of family at home in India intrude on new lives in America. Touching, poignant, and utterly authentic, the stories create a tapestry as colourful, as delicate and as enduring as the finest silk sari.

Picked this up because it was a collection of short stories which I thought would be ideal for short reading stints at the cottage. I was really pleased at how wonderful each story was. Each one was unique but the thread of arranged marriages held the collection together. A good read.
