The people who buy their meat in neat little packages need to see where their dinners come from. The animal slaughter industry is there because of the demand, and if watching this film helps people understand the brutality behind the fashion and food they consume, maybe, just maybe, the future will change this. But only if kids, who ARE our future, are the ones whose generation begins to make the changes. So watch it with your kids, and be the change.

I've wanted to see this documentary for years! Why doesn't the library(s) have it anymore?

What a brave, beautiful movie. I wish everyone would see it.

"it is very stressful to watch." Imagine being one of the animals being tortured or slaughtered. This movie is indeed hardcore. The scene with the bottle-nose dolphins being slautered was the worst for me. We would live in a much better World if all of us were to watch this film. But very few will make the attempt. It plays out like a horror film. Scary, very scary.

I'm pretty sure this IS suitable for all ages. People need to know what REAL news looks like, and not by the time they're "of age". Any age will do. By the time they're old enough to watch it, they will have their own clouded view of the world that DOESN'T involve this. This should be in their arsenal. We need to arm ourselves with more of this knowledge.

It's too grotesque, and you don't want to know?

Have some courage, please have the COURAGE that it takes to watch through this material. The reason inhumane practices such as this are still fully underway is because we are turning our backs on them, too afraid to deal with the horrors that our own people are creating.

And guess what?! YOU are one of those people. Your courage, compassion, and fears all take part in the way this planet and the animals are treated.

Animals as well as the tiny little shrubs, phytoplankton, ALL OF IT- is not all that different from you, from me. We are not seperate.

Anyway- I obviously found this to be essential viewing material. I was dramatically effected and moved by it. Joaquen Phoenix did a fine job of highlighting the sorrow and inequality that is eminating from these cages.

What do you REALLY believe in? What if that was you? Slaughtering them, or the ones being tortured? This is real. And we are the only ones who can put a stop to it.

not for children...but every adult should see the horror that is done to the shelters and pounds, the slaughter houses, the production of leather...and then i could not watch the rest. i became a vegetarian the very next day and oh so glad that i did not buy the leather furniture i had my eye on. also adopted 4 feral cats (and had them fixed), that some of my neighbors wanted to take to the pound. please watch this movie and have compassion for all living beings.

Quite complete: from meat/egg/milk factory to scientific lab. Shocking footage. A must see.

This is a hard one to watch unless you work at a slaughter house and see and participate with this despicable and disturbing behaviour.

But then again, if we buy animal products or products animals have been tested on, we're all guilty, especially that now we know.

I'd say this isn't for the kids but I bet they'd be the first to realize the immorality of all this and the best chance for a change.

It's a must see documentary.

For those who can bring themselves to watch this movie, it is impossible not to be changed by the experience... The arrogance of mankind to think that we are entitled to treat fellow creatures of planet earth with this kind of disdain defies belief. Watch it.
