This is an excellent book for any investor, both beginner or expert. It provides helpful information that is very easy to understand and to read. The second half of the book also has a breakdown of certain industries. I would also like to note how surprisingly accurate Pat Dorsey is. Keep in mind that this book was written in 2004; there are a few companies that he specifically states are sure to succeed and grow. As I read this book, I would quickly look up the stock growth of said companies, and almost all of them are at least 2-3 times the price today compared to when the book was written.

This book is worth considering as a purchase to keep for future reference.

An excellent book on investing. Also get a copy of Pat Dorsey's other book The Little Book That Builds Wealth.

The Five Rules gives a great overview on what you should know. His Little Book gives you a more in depth look at how to spot companies with what is known as a moat, also known as a competitive advantage.
