This is the first time I've read Frank and I must say: what an amazing discovery. She is a terrific writer and Folly Beach captivated me from the very beginning; it makes "losing everything" down right appealing. The sub-plot on Porgy and Bess is quite brilliant. Loved it.

I read most of Frank's books. They are a good holiday/summer read since the location is always the coastal region of South Carolina; the Lowcountry. This story gives you the interesting history behind the book and musical Porgy and Bess. A romance is always central to Frank's books.

What it's about: After the death of her untrustworthy husband, a young widow rediscovers love on one of the most beautiful beaches in South Carolina.
Why it's hot:
Frank is a best-selling author with a devoted following who adore her tales of the heart set in South Carolina's Lowcountry.
