This was a really good book. I totally recommend it for ages 12 and up but it's definitely a good read that will ring true to the reader's own life at some point in the book....trust me. :)

One of my favorites! I got this book as a gift from one of my friends who sang it praises. This main character is refreshing and original, and shows that there is more to life than just boys. Maggie is a hilarious character and I found myself laughing most of the time during this book. Her parents, peace-loving hippies, are also a riot. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an entertaining and easy read!

Wow, this book impressed me. A great story of trying to be a complete unpopular unsocial geek! a twist at the end gives it some excitement. Awesome author 10/10!

A funny story of trying not to fit in. I mean, what's the point, if you're going to move away in 4 months? You'll lose all your friends from your old school, because when they say they'll stay in touch, you can be sure they won't.

So, Sugar/Maggie has decided on a plan. She's going to not make any friends. Zilch. Zero. Nothing... or in this case, No one. Maggie'll be the lowest on the popularity pyramid, the loser not even losers want to talk to. The first few days, everything is just as planned. But she's super humiliated. Maggie does not think she can keep this up any longer.

Just when Maggie settles into the routine, things get a little complicated. How, when you're so low on the popularity pyramid, do you set a fashion trend at your school? How do people find things to compliment on your horribly 'unique' clothes? And, most importantly, how do you score at date with somebody you wouldn't be caught dead with in Portland?

But, it won't matter in 4 months... You'll be moving away, anyways.

The book was actually kind of slow at some parts. But mostly, I enjoyed the creative idea of it. And the absurdity of it all. It was funny to see her try so hard to not fit in, and then having it backfire. I liked the things she said about popularity because it's true. And I like that she actually had the guts to dress and act the way she did in front of everyone.

Jack...hmmm I don't know what my opinion is about him. I think he's adorable, actually-if not sort of dorky. :P But it makes it cute. I liked the fact that she fell for someone who was far from "cool" and though I found him strange at first, he started to grow on me throughout the book.

I loved this book. It's been a while that I've liked a book this much, but this one really did it for me. It was hilarious!
