Comedian and activist Margaret Cho's righteous comic rage finds its targets with pinpoint accuracy and is meant not only to entertain but also to champion the civil liberties and raise awareness for the social injustices that are her impassioned causes-among them freedom of expression; gay rights; racial discrimination; and capital punishment. It is this blend of comedy and fervor that awakens the devotion of her legions of fans and permeates this book-her vehement, principled, and resoundingly funny political platform to shake us loose of the politics of disillusionment and get us through the years ahead. I Have Chosen to Stay and Fightchronicles Cho's adventures and misadventures in political activism and lays out what's right in no uncertain terms.

The book chronicles personal triumphs of Margaret and politics, as to be expected! That is what Margaret Cho lives for! We love her, she's funny, she tells it like it is. I love that she makes everything politically correct when she helps to clean out the social pollution.

What I love most about her and the book is her honesty! Her honesty is a revelation of politics outside the box, what people often look over or don't notice. Here is Margaret to say she is a person with a pivot point of view and whole lot of tender loving care with a lot of constructive criticism.

I love her.... I know what it's like to be an outsider, I can relate.

I admire this author for her passion for justice, but it is certainly not a light read or as funny as I had hoped.

Cho's angst is too real to laugh with. But what she talks about, racism and misogyny, are such important issues.
