Keeping in mind that John Steinbeck is widely considered to be one of America's most important and respected fiction writers of the mid-20th century - I certainly found this surprisingly brief and repetitive bio-documentary to be far from being on par with said novelist's revered reputation.

Presented through "Kultur International" - This 30-minute quick-view program was (amongst other things) dull, dry, and colossally disappointing on all counts.

I mean - Didn't the time-honored memory of John Steinbeck's literary achievements deserve significantly better documentary representation than this?.... I certainly think so.
