"KOKO..." Only four men knew what it meant. They were Vietnam vets-a doctor, a lawyer, a working stiff, and a writer. They were as different as men could be. Yet all of them were bound eternally together by a single shattering secret. And now they have been reunited, on a quest that will take them from the graveyards and fleshpots of the Far East to the human jungle of New York...as they hunt something inhuman from the past that has risen from the darkness to kill and kill and kill.... Entwined with the stories in the epic Blue Rose trilogy, Koko is Peter Straub at his terrifying best.

This is suppose to be a best seller. I've read a few of his books, but this one is taking me so long. I've renewed it and I am just barely halfway through it. Maybe it's the whole context of the Viet Nam war and in such depth and in ways only a soldier can relate too? I don't know. I almost gave up a few times, but I am not a quitter, and hopefully I will find out who the killer is, because this is suppose to be a Trilogy. Sorry, Peter Straub, much as I love your weird and wonderful other stuff, I pass on the other 2.
