Adventures From My Awkward and Lovely Life

A child star in the 1970s - and an Oscar-nominee for The Goodbye Girl (Ross, 1977) - Quinn Cummings chose a different path to many of her colleagues, opting for full-time motherhood and a business selling baby carriers. In this collection of humorous and witty observations she proves that she's not lost any of her wry, precocious and keenly observant attitude that first caught the public attention. With wit, sarcasm and a healthy dose of self-deprecation, Cummings offers a charming look into the often chaotic, seldom perfect world of the everyday mother.

A hilarious cross between Erma Bombeck and Dave Barry. Among other topics, she likes to poke fun at herself for being too klutzy, but by the end of the book you've gotten to like her so much it's painful to read about yet another inanimate object walloping her over the head. I hope she writes more humor, but without hurting herself!
