This is one of my favorite Christmas books to share with my kids and with anyone else who will let me share it. I read it to my son last night so he could do a written reflection for his 2nd grade homework and when he had to answer if it was fiction or non-fiction he wasn't sure which to check. He started with non-fiction, then decided to check that it was both.

A truly wonderful story with great use of language and wonderful illustrations. A wonderful way to foster a child's understanding of the value of being sensitive to the feelings of others and just how magical it can be when you help another person believe in himself. The photo at the end of the book is definitely the clincher for any child who doubts the story.

A must read.
