Seems easy-pour a little fog into Baker Street, have a commissionaire stomp up the stairs, a little more cut and paste and you produce a Holmes/Watson story. Wrong. Most of these tales are from the bottom of Watson's dispatch box. But Ed Hoch is always worth a read, and Resnick's "Mrs. Vanberry Takes a Trip" is one of the funniest and surely the raciest stories ever written about our heroes.
