Pawley's Island, South Carolina is picture perfect until reporter Nicole Sullivan airs a splashy segment about the grisly stabbing of teenager Tara Mitchell and the disappearance of her two best friends, both presumed dead. In the years following the murder, people who have lived in the mansion where Tara was killed have claimed that the girls still haunt the house. Intrigued once more, Nicole gets her famous psychic mother to contact the three victims via a live seance. During the segment, a murder that replicates that of Tara's occurs. Nicole's investigation puts her head-to-head with police chief Joe Franconi. The tension between them is palpable, but they have to join forces when it becomes crystal clear that a killer has set his sights on Nicole as his next victim.

Good read, a little slower than her other stories but still a good read with the story line and a little romance thrown in for good measure!
