The information in this book was fascinating. It dealt with the author's being one of the last children to get polio in the early 1950s and how it changed her life. It also dealt with her very disfunctional Sephardic Jewish Turkish family. The title refers to her paternal grandmother who, after the death of her husband at age 45, became a professional fortune teller in order to raise her 3 sons.

Unfortunately, the book is poorly written, jumping from one topic to another, and making it hard to follow at times. Some parts were well developed while others left me wanting to know more.
