This is a post-modern novel, with each character telling the story from his or her perspective. I enjoyed it.

Haunting story of an African woman who makes it all the way to Germany in search of her stolen child, told as a mosaic of sometimes contradictory fragments told by people who she met, and by herself.

I finished this book a week ago, but find that I am still thinking about it. I grew to admire the woman and the inspector who became her advocate. I loved the ending. Hurrah for mothers and women who care about children. A terrific read.
