I am a casual fan of both franchises and really enjoyed this book along with Vol 2. I have always been a fan of the Borg and thought they made a good use of them in this story. I did question some of the writing for the enterprise crew but felt the Doctor and his companions were spot on. There is also a really great part in the book that the Doctor flashes back to a previous form and a run in he had with Kirk and his crew. The art work is pretty different for a comic as it has this odd moving painting look. However it worked well for this mash up, but it gets a bit annoying at parts because of the lack of detail the blur effect causes.
