It's eighty-five in the shade when Minneapolis detectives Leo Magozzi and Gino Roiseth pull into the MPD garage in a tricked-out Caddy repossessed from a drug dealer. Things are heating up inside, too, when the call comes in: a floater. Across town, the Monkeewrench crew has been recruited by the FBI to investigate a series of murder videos posted on the web. Soon Magozzi, Roiseth, and Monkeewrench will discover the frightening link between the crimes.

I found this book to be barely average. The characters can be engaging at times but aside from some good insight into the collectivism of the world wide web, I thought the book was just okay

Easily the weakest of the series but you can't score every time. It struck me as more of a social commentary of our culture & bogs down many times with character's diatribes/laments on what our civilization has come to. It's almost like the authors were using this book as a forum for their own points of view.
Not really what I enjoy or choose to read in my spare time. I'm a big fan of the other books but found this more serious with much less of the humour & action that I so enjoyed in the others.
Don't judge the rest by this one.

This book was more than disappointing. It was the first "Monkeyrench" mystery that I read, and will not read another!
