Add a CommentEver wondered about the birth mother that gave Sutton and Emma up? Well, Sara Shepard has incorporated her role into the story now, but with an interesting case. She recognizes Emma for who she is. This confused me a bit because I didn't ever think that Becky (the mother) was the actual killer, although the book certainly tried to persuade me. It just didn't seem like there was a good motive behind it. The relationships that Emma has fixed are quite nicely tied together though, because it is almost like there is something sweet coming out of a bitter and dark situation. 3.5/5 stars
