Great third installment of the Die Hard franchise!

Dec 29, 2017

Die Hard is still one of my favorite movie franchise. Every movie including this one is still action-packed and very intense. Bruce Willis is one of my favorite actors and Jeremy Iron portrayed perfectly as a villain. This is the fourth or the fifth time I have ever watched this movie. Still worth it.
P. S. I still enjoyed Samuel L. Jackson's performance from every movie til now.

I would've called it "Die Harderest." The third in the series. "Die Hard" had a pretty simple premise, but it worked and became a blueprint for action movies for the better part of a decade. You had Die Hard on a plane ("Passenger 57"), a bus ("Speed"), a boat ("Under Siege," "Speed 2"), and a train ("Under Siege 2"). Even the sequels had to compete with the originals, with the second set at the airport and this one set in NYC. Original director John McTiernan returns and Samuel L. Jackson is added for some buddy comedy, but it's just not as good as the first, relying on a lot of explosions and overcomplicated cat and mouse games. Jeremy Irons puts on a rather absurd German accent and is not quite as silky and droll as Alan Rickman. That's singer-songwriter Sam Phillips as a silent henchwoman. Somehow they made two more of these.

Zeus: [slowly walking up to John, seeing the billboard his wearing has an offensive phrase towards African Americans] Morning.

John McClane: Good morning.

Zeus: You having a nice day, sir? You feeling all right? Not to get too personal, but a white man standing in the middle of Harlem wearing a sign that says "I hate niggers" has either got some serious personal issues, or not all his dogs are barking.

[John yawns]

Zeus: Hey! I'm talking to you! Now you've got about ten seconds before those guys see you, and when they do they will kill you, you understand? You are about to have a very bad day.

John McClane: Tell me about it.
