A great book with sci-fi and humour! And yes, yes you should read it!

A fun 5th-6th grade level science fiction novel about creating solar systems. It turns out that the Dark Matter of the universe hides the immortal people who keep the universe working properly. A human girl on Earth accidentally sees one of the immortals at work through her telescope and so the entire Earth and Solar System are destroyed and she is transported to this immortal realm. This seems silly, especially when we realize that the story is actually being narrated by Joss, the Seventh Son of the Supreme Overlord of the Universe. It is his job to reverse the destruction and find a way to bring the Earth back.

In spite of the silly setup, the author manages to pull the story in a somewhat more sensible direction. A benefit from the story is a lot of real physics that might inspire young readers to get more interested in astronomy and cosmology.

This book I assumed would be a kid book, but Wendy Mass has done it again! Capturing hearts and conveying emotions as well as in every book off her's I've read! She never fails to amaze me! This book I would recommend to anyone who loves a good adventure, and trust me, your in for a good one with Joss leading the way.

"If you think it's tough being the Supreme Overlord of the Universe, try being his son." Joss lives in the Realms (headquarters of the universe), and he's the youngest of the Overlord's sons, which is why he gets the least cool job: delivering pies for the Powers That Be. But when the Powers That Be delete the Earth from existence and swap Joss' best friend for smart, sassy Annika (the only remaining Earthling), Joss has to step up to the challenge of rebuilding the entire solar system… from scratch. Sci-fi fans won't want to miss the mind-bending science and quirky humour in this "high-stakes extraterrestrial adventure" (Publishers Weekly)."
