Bad Writing

Bad Writing

DVD - 2010
Rate this:
As a young man, Vernon Lott thought he could be the next great American poet. Years later he found a box of his old poems and realized that they were truly horrible. Instead of destroying these early works, he decided to show them to a number of famous writers and ask their opinions. This documentary records a wannabe poet and his quest for answers about writing--bad writing, good writing, and the process in between. Their reactions to his poetry and their thoughts on what differentiates good writing from bad will inspire anyone who has ever dreamt of creating art.
