An addicting read. The stories are well told and the world comes alive as both foreign and the one we know. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Two books in one: the first of a series. In a distopian post-apocalyptic world (I’ve been reading so many of these lately!) a young woman with psychic powers is sent to a farm/work camp called Obernewtyn. There she rallies other similarly-powered people in a revolt against the establishment. Engagingly written; typical YA fantasy. I probably won’t reread this, but there are four other books (two two-in-one books) which I shall definitely seek out.
