Well made. I was entertained and informed.

I agree with 'hania 4987', and 'Keogh' (see reviews below).

Its interesting to compare the two somewhat differing segments about the battle of Marathon !
Thermopylae is also well covered in two segments.

The material about Alexander's invasion of India is fresh and interesting.

The Helen of Troy segment is shallow.

The video games renactments often show little relationship to the troop movements being described,.. and the phalanx is never really depicted ! (...too hard to animate ?)
Often the 'combat' backgrounds are 'dramatic', but not credible or actually relevant.

Never-the-less, this is a good overall consideration, which makes clear the amazing tenacity of the vastly out-numbered Greeks, and over-riding importance of this major turning point in history.

Discs 1 & 3 were excellent! Disc 2 was ok but very sensationalized -- and the program about Helen of Troy was downright silly, just PR for the movie.

The History Channel has done it again very well done documentary series. This movie was interesting, informative, and worse seeing!! I recommend this movie for all to see. Well worth the price of admission to any theater.
