This is a retelling of Pride & Prejudice aimed at younger readers, in the form of a diary. While the market of Austen spinoffs is getting a bit crowded, this was still an enjoyable read - kids who have never read the original will, of course, enjoy the story, and even older readers will find much to like in the drawings and letters included among the diary entries. It's nothing revolutionary, but still a great introduction to Pride & Prejudice, or a fun revisiting of it, depending on the reader.

I thought it an amusing condensed , quick read version of the book. Reads like the PBS version of Pride and Prejuduce starring Colin Firth. I totally pictured the PBS movie in my head as I was reading this. It is suggested for the 8-14y.o. I, however, wouldn't have my 8y.o. read it just yet due to the vain and boy crazy contents.

"Dear Lizzy,
What can you be thinking of, really you try my nerves."
