This was a disappointing book. There isn't much information about some of the early first ladies and since each section was written by different experts, they tend to all be very complimentary. If there were negative issues in a first lady's life, they were glossed over. The exception is Hillary Clinton and every scandal going back to Bill Clinton's first congressional campaign is dredged up. Also, with so many different authors, the style is very uneven.
