Kooky and slight unbelievable, it's a great addition to the amateur sleuth genre. Sam is indeed whip smart and unwilling to put up with crap, so fumbles along and of course finds some good clues. It's a nice antidote to the dark scando noirs out there.

An enjoyable, quick read. Good characters and good mystery. I read it on a plane and it was perfect.

An ok beach read but not memorable.

Readers of Janet Evanovich might enjoy this

I’ll be looking for more books in this series about a London editor who gets caught up in solving a murder mystery. Although at times, the story seems a little ludicrous, it’s the characters that will keep me wanting more, that and the behind the scenes look at the world of publishing.

The first book in the Sam Clair series

Fantastic !!! It was cute, witty, and sometime instead of a chuckle, I laughed out loud. Just the ticket to get my mind off of the depressing Presidential Election.

the front of this book says 'deadly funny' and 'whip smart and devious. I found it bland and found nothing funny anywhere in the book.

This is Ms. Flanders first novel. I have read and enjoyed her non-fiction and her novel is just as good, very smart and funny.

A really fun mystery, good characters, a story which focuses more on the impact of a sensational novel than on murder (refreshing!). Recommended.
