On TV, as in life, the workplace can bring the most unlikely assortment of people into enforced proximity. And the staff of the Middleton Interactive Learning Centre are a suitably mixed bunch. Their greatest trial, however, is posed by the woman in charge, the uptight, self-righteous, prodigiously insensitive Frances (co-creator and co-writer Robyn Butler). In this six-part ABC comedy of cringe, Frances' world is turned upside down by the return of her high-school nemesis, ubervamp Christine (Roz Hammond). As the centre readies itself for the premier's visit in Book Week, the impact of Christine, as the new children's librarian, threatens to undermine everything Frances believes she has created.
