In the war between humans and coyotes, coyotes have won, hands-down. Coyote America is the illuminating five-million-year biography of this extraordinary animal, from its origins to its apotheosis. I enjoyed this book : well written, informative and challenging. It was interesting to compare it with Farley Mowatt's `environmental' writings about wolves in the 1960s/1970s, not much changes in terms of how we persecute certain groups of animals.
