Third album from Stephen Lee Bruner, aka Thundercat, the bassmaster who has worked with Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar, who guests here. It's not an especially bass heavy album and veers into sort of aquatic soft rock at times, something highlighted by the appearance of soft rock princes Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins. I can imagine sitting in a hot tub, drinking mellow wine, and grooving out to this. Other guests include Pharrell and Wiz Khalifa. Set your brains on smooth.
