I gave it 3 stars. I have seen documentaries that are significantly better and much weightier, but I found this solid enough, and the topic is certainly interesting - so I landed at 3 stars. Essentially, the daughter of the man featured traces his steps as he fled from Nazi occupied Europe after his bomber was shot down. She meets a few people who played a role in helping him evade Nazis in the Belgian village where the plane crashed, she meets a young man who has taken it upon himself to become the local historian and keeper of the artifacts. Photos, current interviews and footage of past events commemorating the crash are all included. I learned a lot about this man and what it was like for people in Belgium, France & Switzerland during WW2 and what it must have been like for this man who had to survive for months in Europe before being able to come home.
