Based on the unbelievable but true events, I, Tonya is a dark comedic tale of American figure skater, Tonya Harding, and one of the most sensational scandals in sports history. Though Harding was the first American woman to complete a triple axel in competition, her legacy was forever defined by her association with an infamous and poorly executed attack on fellow Olympic competitor Nancy Kerrigan. I, Tonya is an absurd, irreverent, and piercing portrayal of Harding's life and career in all of its unchecked--and checkered--glory.

Margot Robbie seems possessed playing Tonya Harding! And Alison Janney, wow. I didn't stop laughing whenever she was on screen. Normally, it's hard for me to focus on movies, but this one held my attention with it's cutaways and retro-grit. Fantastic.

Damn - this is a good movie. I thought it would salacious and trashy, and while there are some moments of glorious trashiness - it's well-written, well-acted, and excellent overall. I also worried they would try to make Harding look like a victim, but they do a great job of presenting her complex story in a complex way. Excellent film making all around!

Easily one of the best films to come out in 2017. The movie feels as rebellious as Tonya was and doesn't hold back on what made her her.

Fair warning, it is sadder than the trailer would lead you to expect. It does, however, still have plenty of dark humor.

This was probably one of the funniest, saddest, craziest most unbelievable movies I've ever watched. Margot did an AMAZING job. The key for me is watching a movie and totally forgetting you're watching a movie because the actors are that good. Jaime Foxx in Ray. Denzel Washington in Malcolm X. And now, Margot in I, Tonya. Absolutely loved it!!
