As a whole, the Heart of Dread series isn't a bad one. Its premise is a little questionable, but what's a story without a little (or a little more) suspension of disbelief?

As the finale, Golden fits right along with Frozen and Stolen. There's adventure, deceit, romance, and a dragon or two. I don't have many bad things to say about it, though my opinion is still on the ropes as to how it ends, but I also don't have many great things to say about it either.

This entire Series was AMAZING!! The romance and action go hand and hand, which makes the book much more appealing. I suggest reading the first and second books first though, which are Frozen and Stolen.
