The second book in the Miss Marple novels and Agatha continues to deliver. The murderer was still a mystery up until the end.
Miss Marple has gained respect among the powers that be, except for Slack. Miss Marple is called in by her friend, Mrs. Bantry,to solve the mystery of a dead a girl that has been found in Mrs. B's library that no one in the house has ever met before. Mrs. Bantry has total faith in Marple's abilities to find the true murderer and clear her and her husband from any hint of guilt.
Rereading Agatha has been a joy.

I absolutely adore Agatha Christie! This is one of my favorites. The thing I love about Christie is that she completely takes the rule book and throws it out the window.

good mystery though a bit wordy for me. I got this after reading and then there were none and this is no where as good as that book

The Agatha Christie books are always a little difficult to get through, being that they were written so long ago, but nevertheless, these murder mysteries are always original, unique, and unpredictable. Throughout this book, I literally thought 3 different people could have been the murderer, and that everyone was suspicious. Agatha Christie is definitely one of the best murder mystery writers of all time- you'll never know who done it. This book had an ending I never would have expected, but was incredibly clever.
