Excellent book
America's Test Kitchen TV show on public television, and cookbooks published by ATK are hands down the best .... ATKitchen will make a recipe dozens of times to bring it to a full rendition of excellence.
Some recipes get started in the stove-top dutch oven, then into the oven for some baking.
This is a practical book; illustrated color photos; many recipes make use of dried herbs vs the costly expense of fresh herbs; popular types of recipes, not too exotic in ingredients.
