She candidly shares her struggle to be what others demand, her obsession with the American dream, her desperation to appear normal, and the price she paid for it all. With a foreword from Respect magazine Editor-in-Chief Datwon Thomas, this dark, long journey into the life of an abused and tormented woman, wife, and mother uncovers a long-guarded set of painful personal truths, reveals the inspiring details of her life-saving triumph, and will change everything you thought you knew about Karrine Steffans.

Her first "video vixen" book was not in the library, but on the "books for sale" shelf - dropped off for anyone to take - so I read it, and then found this one in Guildford.

Long story short - domestic abuse on a child can carry on into marriage. Karrine uses "stockholm syndrome" as part of the reason for her self-destructive repetitive behavior.

It's a hard book to read as she sets herself up for trainwreck story after trainwreck relationship.

In this book, you understand how the general public will lash out at her, even hater her on social media, all the while not really understanding her story. I'd like to see her son write a book to see of he survived the horse manure his mom put him through. I kept thinking, on every other page, "where is Doctor Phil when you need him"?

Karrine represents tens of thousands of women who don't have a book to write, or the voice/strength needed to tell their own truths.

A must read for every woman trying to avoid domestic abuse, and oddly enough, a must read for every guy trying to incorporate it.

Where will Karrine be in ten years?
