I'm a Macau native and find this book interesting. Have not have some of the items on the list but have seen and ate most of it while growing up. It brings back a lot of food memories. The cartoon is a plus and makes the instruction a lot easier to understand. Macau food has a lot of history but the photos and graphic brings it up to date. Even if you are not a foodie or a cook, this is a great book to read about cultures in the world. Explore the melting pot and how it all fit into and translate back into the everyday life of Macau.

Refreshingly different - and I am not only referring to the recipes. Just going through it is a mixture of reading a comic and an imagined island vacation. There is no need to feel intimidated by this "exotic" cuisine - get right into it! Especially, have a look at the pickles.
