Add a CommentIn thirteen new stories, Olive ages from 60 to 82. Age, however, has not diminished Olive's blunt, no-holds-barred style when it comes to life in Crosby, Maine. Although Olive is only glimpsed in some of the stories, the reader learns something new about her in each story. As her losses mount, Olive revisits her past and comes away with various insights, regrets, and what might have beens. Strout's effort is a worthy successor to Olive Kitteridge.
