The story of one of the X-Men's most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into her iconic alter ego. During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet.

Jessica Chastain as a blonde alien chick.

If you're looking for lots of top-notch special effects and a mutants vs. aliens epic battle, this film won't disappoint.

This movie was universally panned, so wasn't expecting much; however, it wasn't as bad as all that after all. Some hokum with the Chastain alien story line. More entertaining than the new Spiderman movie; but the characters aren't as likeable as Spidey and MJ.

I usual love Xmen movies and always rate them 5 stars but this was not as great as the previous movies. It still good movie but not as I expected.

The original story from the comic book was a classic. This movie is not.

What if, Marvel and Disney wanted to spend the money for this story...they didn't. So...for me, a low budget addition to the X-Men franchise. Unknown actors and a story that I couldn't watch to the end, turned off. Thank you to the person that decided to buy the DVD version of this movie over the Blu-Ray. It saved our city a few $$$.

It wasn't as good as the previous X-Men movies. I'm always disappointed with the women centered superhero movies. If it's not big budget it isn't done well. All in all pretty good.

It's better than The Last Stand, but not nearly as good as it could have been. Arguably the greatest X-Men adventure is watered down by forced out-of-character commentary. Rather than simply letting the characters be themselves, you have forced dialogue and forced story points that muddy what is otherwise an admirable attempt and obscures the characters involved.

Now the long wait for Avengers Vs X-Men begins.

I had hoped that at least the X-Men movies would stay true to there format but I should have known Disney would ruin this as they have with the rest of Marvel with there usual politically motivated feminist agenda driven trash. Why all of a sudden is that Raven in charge? Yelling at everyone including Professor X Demanding he change the name to X-Women? After 15 minutes of this whining sickening display I hit Eject and watched a real movie with John Wayne back when actors actually acted and movies entertained. At least we still have the early marvel movies before Disney Trashed them as for the future all I can say is MARVEL R.I.P I'm done with it!

"Overall, I didn’t hate Dark Phoenix, especially not in the way I’ve seen other people call it ‘trash’ which I don’t think it is, but I don’t think it’s as good as it should be."

Raven : [to Charles] It's funny. I can't actually remember the last time you were the one risking something. And by the way, the women are always saving the men around here. You might wanna think about changing the name to X-Women.

Erik Lehnsherr : The world is on the brink!
Professor Charles Xavier : I'm sorry, I didn't stop this sooner...
Erik Lehnsherr : You're always sorry, Charles. And there's always a speech. But nobody cares!
