Disney tries to hone an edge by enlisting Guy Ritchie---but Guy Ritchie only demeans himself as a SELL-OUT in this FAIRY TALE that is inferior to the witty cartoon formerly produced years ago. Yes, the CGI reeks of big money....and Alladin and the princess are uber cute---but it is much too long and too sanitized to be considered anything deeper than Pinnocohio. Sad.

My husband and I actually really liked this movie and I was a huge fan of the first one... The cinematics were awesome and the casting was perfect....

I was so excited to see this, but compared to the live action Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin falls short. I appreciated the feminist additions, but Princess Jasmine's new song did not fit with the rest of the music.

I don't go to see movies in theaters more than once. This is the first movie I've seen twice in theaters. It was that good.

Entertaining, with fresh new faces and amazing costumes and special effects. Can’t say it tops the original, but it holds its own.

This updated live action film hits all the right notes through retaining the charm of the original 1992 classic while providing a modern spin (i.e. an independent Princess Jasmine).

An enjoyable Disney movie suitable for anyone!

Magical on many levels...Will Smith is brilliant.

Better than I expected! I was honestly prepared to hate it after Will Smith ruined Deadshot for me in Suicide Squad. I thought his singing was a bit too held back during "A Friend Like Me", but it got better with "Prince Ali". (I figured he was just doing what the director wanted.)

Good acting, interesting action choreography, and gorgeous costumes.

Guy Ritchie's life-action remake of its 1992 animated film with Robin Willams. Mena Massoud as Aladdin is great singing, dancing, and stunting in the first half before Will Smith as Genie takes over the show with his CGI'ed entertaining act. To lively up the rest of the film, Aladdin's pet Abu performed its kleptomaniac deeds along with a spectacular parade of Prince Ali's entourage. Thoroughly entertaining fairy tale for all in the family.

Aladdin: Do we need the top knot?
Genie: That’s my little cherry on top.
Aladdin: Okay, okay.

50 quotes in IMDb already, thanks to contributors. The Genie's song caught me by surprise and did not get the lyrics the first time:

Uh-oh! Watch out!
You done wound me up.
'Bout to show you
what I'm working with. Uh!
Well, Ali Baba
He had them 40 thieves
Had a thousand tales
But, master, you're in luck
Because up your sleeves
You got a brand of magic
Never fails
You got some power
In your corner now
Heavy ammunition
In your camp
You got some punch, pizzazz
Yahoo, and how
All you gotta do
Is rub that lamp
And then I'll say
Mister, man
What's your name?
What will Your pleasure be?
Let me take your order
I'll jot it down
You ain't never had
A friend like me
Life is your restaurant
And I'm your maitre d'
Come whisper to me
Whatever it is you want
You ain't never had
A friend like me
We pride ourselves
On service
You the boss
The king, the shah
Say what you wish
It's yours, true dish
How about
A little more baklava?
You ain't never had
A friend like me...
