The illustrations in this book are stunning - we flipped back through it after reading just to admire them. And the story is lovely as well - a little boy plays with water in a stream and wonders where it might end up. A perfect book to inspire thought about nature.

As gorgeous as this book's illustrations are, I can't say I'm much a fan of it's story. While it's clearly a tale about the water cycle, it feels like it keeps getting distracted from that goal as it revels in its contrived celebration of nature. Secondly, in spite of the name, there doesn't seem to be an actual rhythm to this book like you'd expect; making it feel just a little more disappointing on top of everything else.
